Data Entry - Customer Service
Department: Customer Service
Location: Rapala Canada
Reports to: Customer Service Manager
Salary Range: 38K to 42K
Position Summary
The Data Entry role supports the Customer Service department by managing data accuracy, maintaining product information, and assisting with day-to-day customer service operations. This role plays a key part in supporting major retail partners, ensuring timely and accurate information flow across systems and customer portals.
This position is on site, in office 5 days a week. Office is located in South Oshawa.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Entry
- Perform accurate and timely data entry across internal and external systems
- Maintain and update item master data to ensure product information is current and accurate
- Process product updates including item changes, pricing, descriptions, and status updates
Customer & Portal Support
- Update and maintain T1 customer portal data
- Upload and manage product images for new items and product updates within customer portals
- Ensure all customer-facing data is accurate
- Assist in resolving customer disputes by gathering information, updating records, and supporting resolution efforts
Customer Service Support
- Provide backup support to the Customer Service team as needed
- Support daily workload during peak periods or team absences
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in customer service, data entry, or administrative support preferred
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, analyze information, and recommend solutions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate-level Excel skills required (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation)
- Comfortable working with multiple systems, databases, and customer portals
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience working with major retail customers (e.g., Canadian Tire, Walmart) is an asset
