Electrify Your Freshwater Trolling: Scatter Rap Lures Get Six Tantalizing New Colours
If you’re a huge fan of Scatter Rap® lures, Rapala has some good news for you -- six new colours in the Scatter Rap® Tail Dancer® and the Scatter Rap® Minnow lure lines.
These six new electrifying colours will add new flash to the Scatter Rap® line, allowing the evasive, erratic action produced by the Scatter Lip, to trigger even more aggressive bites.
The new colours include black light, black wonderbread, fruit punch, moldy fruit, rave and voodoo haze. The flash of these new colours will be best on overcast days or when the water is stained or cloudy, ensuring that predator fish see your bait.
Scatter Rap® Tail Dancer®
Take the wild "wide-tail" action of the Rapala® Tail Dancer® and add the evasive, erratic action that the Scatter Lip creates and you have one deep-diving, aggressive lure that produces aggressive strikes from walleye, pike and smallmouth bass while trolling.
This premium trolling lure featuring balsa construction and a deep diving scatter lip. It’s design gives it an erratic, evasive sweeping action. It features a tapered tail with an internal rattle that drives fish crazy. It dives 11 to 19 feet deep, based on the type of fishing line used and trolling speed.
“The Scatter Rap Tail Dancer is an incredible fish-catching tool for trolling in open water,” said Jeremy Smith of Lindner Media. “This bait is a phenomenal lure in open water for suspended walleyes.
The new colours join 16 existing colours for a total of 22 colour patterns. The new colours are available in the size No. 9 Scatter Rap Tail Dancer, a 3-1/2 inch long lure with a weight of 7/16 oz.
Scatter Rap® Minnow
Made of premium balsa, with a custom Scatter Lip, the Scatter Rap® Minnow consistently swims with an erratic and evasive sweeping action - perfectly mimicking vulnerable baitfish. Cast or trolled, it is the perfect choice for any species of gamefish, including walleye, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and more. Over the past 5 years the Scatter Rap Minnow has become a staple trolling for walleye in the Midwest and these new colours will brighten up the tackle boxes.
“The evasive, erratic action makes fish bite,” said legendary angler Al Lindner. “You don’t have to do anything but reel. The faster you turn the reel handle, the more erratic action you get out of the bait. On a straight troll the bait is still moving side to side. It’s truly revolutionary in concept.”
The six new colours join 20 existing colours patterns for a total of 26 colours choices for anglers to choose from. The new colours are available in the Scatter Rap Minnow size No. 11 lure, which has a body length of 4-3/8 inches and weighs 3/16 oz.
