ABOUT SENTIER CHASSE PECHE
It was in October 1971 that the first issue of the magazine Québec Chasse & Pêche appeared . Until then, there were only a few occasional and limited publications in this field, and Quebec hunters and anglers were finally offered a major monthly publication specially designed for them. I'm convinced that, like me, early readers literally devoured every bit of this magazine, because at that time it was the only way for fans to regularly re-immerse themselves in the atmosphere of their favorite activities. This is how the publication quickly gained great popularity, and moreover many readers today continue to make this magazine their preferred means of information.
Then in April 1980 a new monthly magazine appeared bearing the title of Sentier, and the two publications in the same field of hunting and fishing competed with each other until the end of 1981 when they decided to merge their operations. Thus appeared in February 1982 the magazine Sentier CHASSE-PÊCHE in continuity with Québec Chasse & Pêche and Sentier .
The October 1991 issue of Sentier CHASSE-PÊCHE therefore marked the twentieth anniversary of publication by headlining the cover page "20 years at the service of Quebec hunters and anglers!". Already at that time, the hunting and fishing scene was increasingly brought to the screen, large or small, and electronic media were added to the means of communication in this field. However, the printed monthly has always kept its niche by offering the advantage of being able to gradually deepen the subjects and to ensure the follow-up of informative technical files.
In March 1996, Sentier CHASSE-PÊCHE presented a special 25th anniversary edition, while the October 2001 edition marked the 30th anniversary under the theme "30 years and still the wind in the sails". Then, the cover of the 2011 issues carried the logo "the best of hunting and fishing for 40 years", while the editorial of the October issue paid a special tribute to the pioneering collaborators of each period. of the magazine's history.
The October 2015 issue therefore represents the start of the forty-fifth year of publication of this hunting and fishing magazine, which is still marking time in this area.
