13 Fishing is committed to offering the best possible angler experience and takes pride in the quality and craftsmanship of its products. From time to time, stuff happens and you experience accidental or ‘OOPS’ breakage and in those instances we’ve got you covered! 13 Fishing warrants all combos against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. No warranty registration required. Please see our policies and procedure below before submitting warranty form.
Important: If purchased at a fishing retailer, please return through them first. It will be your quickest way to get a replacement. If purchased through Rapala/13Fishing.ca please follow the below.
Note: We may request a section of the rod with the model number on it, AND a completed warranty form must be submitted to process your warranty/oops claim. Proof of purchase such as a receipt is a requirement for all warranty claims.
Valid Warranty Claims: Breakage due to material, or craftsmanship.
If your rod broke because of material, or craftsmanship it will be replaced quickly and at no charge other than the return shipping to 13 Fishing. If we determine it broke by abuse or misuse, we will contact you and offer you a replacement under our Oops Replacement Program.
Please understand rods aren’t indestructible and must be used fairly to the type of fishing they were designed for. If you broke your rod fishing 50lb braid on a 10lb rod or lifting a giant fish into your boat using only your rod, then please use the Oops Replacement Program designed for these situations.
Shipping Guidelines: If we request the product to be returned, please send your rod in 6-12” Length sections. In the package, you must include the section of the rod with the portion that contains the model number, a completed Rod Replacement Form (submitted below and you will receive an email copy), and proof of purchase such as a receipt from an Authorized Retailer.
Rod Guides Policy: Broken/missing guides are not covered under any 13 Fishing Warranties. Guides are inexpensively and quickly replaced at most quality fishing tackle shops.
You may contact us by email at warranty.ca@rapalavmc.com with the Subject “Replacement Guide Inquiry” for an inquiry of us to send a replacement by mail. It is much more inexpensive and faster to have a guide repaired locally.
Out of Stock Policy: In the event, a product submitted for warranty is out of stock or discontinued, 13 Fishing will generously find a comparable replacement or credit your Rapala.ca account.
*Authorized Retailer Policy: Retailers will possess a brick and mortar storefront location. 13 Fishing will not warranty products purchased through online auction or marketplace sites (i.e. e-bay etc.) due to the untraceable nature of the transaction.
Processing: Please allow 3-5 business days to process the warranty and additional 5-7 business days for shipment.
If your request qualifies under our warranty program, start the process by simply filling out the reel replacement form below and wait further instructions from our customer service team. If we do not receive all information on the form below we will not have the details we need to replace your product.

It doesn’t matter what happened. You broke your rod and need a new one. Accidents happen and this program is designed to get a new rod back in your hands A.S.A.P.! Accidents happen. Car doors, hatches, ceiling fans, lost receipts even rods ran over in the driveway. We know most breaks aren’t defects, and we believe you should have an option to replace your favorite 13 Fishing rod at a reasonable price.

Fees: Please contact us at warranty.ca@rapalavmc.com with the Subject “Oops Replacement Program – Pricing” for a quote on the rod(s) you need to replace.
Shipping Guidelines: We may request the product be returned. If so, you must have the 6” section of the rod with the model number intact in the package. We do not need the entire rod for any Oops Replacements. Also, include a completed Rod Warranty Replacement Form below.
We recommend that you send the product to us through a Canadian Mail carrier, this can be done quickly and affordably. Be sure to keep the tracking number so that delivery can be verified if necessary.

If purchased through one of our retail partner locations, return defective product(s) to original place of purchase. If purchased through 13Fishing.ca or Rapala.ca, please follow the above rod warranty procedure.
Unfortunately, we are unable to process walk-in claims. All warranty claims must be submitted via mail.
